Last Saturday was mum's birthday.A wish,a hug and a kiss from me to mum once i open my eyes in the morning.*grin*and it has been our duty(bro & me), being a filial daughter that i am ( dont puke, give face lar) to bring mum out for dinner….. Sorry mum, was thinking of planning a great party for you, but ....due to financial constraint, we have to postpone it next year ..wakaka. was thinking of trying something different apart from all the buffet dinner that you have to stuff yourself up to the throat just becoz to break even for the price you pay!. We, penangites , always think like that, I guess… Bro checked on the internet to find any Chinese restaurant and, he can only find 2, which is CHA in Trader’s Hotel and the other one in Equatorial. We ate at Kampachi last year so don’t plan to go equatorial again this year.. CHA doesn't look convincing enough even though its Shang Palace last time with same interior, just the name’s different. After looking around and asking around… we decided to give Bagan a chance since a lot of magazines and people been talking bout this place, so why not?!

Bagan is actually a bungalow that has been revamp into different designs in it’s different living room...Each with very colonial style. They have a bar, with very funky design and a restaurant and lots of comfy sofas for friends and big group to chill out. They even have a live band during weekends. Ambience wise, not bad and since its suppose to be fine dining restaurant, lots of waiter were seen at every other corner to give their best service dressing in fancy Halloween clothing. (which one of them rili scared me.so irrie...wearing in red,with tail,paint up red for the whole face,thick black eye-brow.OMG!!) the food was just so-so if you ask my opinion… the usual cream of asparagus, salmon, chicken, tiramisu ..nothing to scream about. But 1 thing you should, SHOULD try is their home made gula melaka ice cream, which I had double serving @ RM6 per scoop. Not so expensive after all for dessert. But the price for the set dinner was a bit expensive if you were to compare with the quality of food we ate. Not like we’re eating froie gras or truffles or caviar.. its just normal food and the bill came up to RM300 for 4 of us.
